Welcome to the Lakeview Heights Tennis Club in Kelowna BC, the best little tennis club in the Okanagan valley. We are located on Anders Road in the Lakeview Heights area of West Kelowna.  We have over 300 members. Our President for 2011 is Marc Greenberg (250) 707-0775.

We offer a number of tennis activities including drop-in tennis nights for Ladies, Men, and Mixed,  Tennis Socials throughout the summer, as well as Club Championships and the Lakeview Heights Open Tournament. Follow the links on the left for details.

If you are concerned about the location of the recently installed children's playground in the club's parking lot, please email your concerns to recreation@districtofwestkelowna.ca.  We are not against a playground, but its location is a safety concern, especially on tournament days when there are many cars coming and going in the parking lot.

At the AGM in October, Marc Greenberg was elected President for 2012.  Here is  a complete list of board members.

 

During the reconstruction work on the clubhouse building, the courts will be available for play, but the clubhouse will not.

 

2011 LVH Club Championships Results

 

Mens A Doubles: David VanTrump and Frank Lucas defeated  Kyle Johnston and Brandon Carjo.

Men's B Doubles: Bryan Lakusta and Mike Henry defeated Stephan Pastor and Grant Mayor.

Singles A: Kyle Johnston defeated  Joe Schaich in three sets. To misquote Joe "Young legs prevailed over old."

Singles B: Sepp Mattiasch defeated John Beck in two long and intense sets.

Honourable Mention goes to Ingrid Stewart who represented the female members of our club.  While she was unable to win, she threw a real scare into Wayne Harmon and Bryan Lakusta. Congratulations Ingrid!

Mixed Doubles A: Jerry Cass and Sue McVeigh defeated Ian and Cheryl Dick.

Mixed Doubles B: Stephan Pastor and Cindy Kindret versus Bryan Lakusta and Ingrid Stewart.  Bryan and Ingrid had to retire due to an injured Bryan.

 

CONGRATULATIONS to Rosie and her team Roses are Red, who WON the Women's 4.0/4.5 category in the Miele  Provincial Championships held in Vancouver! Aug 5 - 7.  Her team consisted of Rosie, her daughter Sam, Judith O'Brien, Kristina Lidster, Jennifer Sabatino and Eva Koksalova.
